I am a full convert to square needles for all my personal knitting projects. I started off with Knit Picks Foursquare Needles, which I love, but when I'm working with dark yarns, on dark needles I found it difficult to see my stitches. Which is how I discovered these.
Knitter's Pride Nova Cubics Platina are engineered from hollow brass pipes and plated with Chrome. The shiny smooth surface helps your yarn slide along the needle and makes it very simple to see what your'e working in. The cuboid shape in cross section gradually gives way to perfectly tapered needle tips.
How are Knitter's Pride Cubics Needles ergonomic?A square needle decreases contact stress by giving your fingers a flat surface to rest on while knitting. This is different from a traditionally-shaped round needle, which forces your fingers to rest on a smaller, convex-shaped surface area. The tension caused by a round needle can result in poor circulation and impaired nerves. Eliminating or reducing contact tension by using a square needle can significantly reduce pain. We’ve had a number of customers tell us that they had stopped knitting until they discovered square knitting needles!
